ok today I cheated a little.

breakfast was granola bar (just for Coggers)

lunch was (I go at 10-11am) a bacon omelette from ihop with an english muffin.

dinner was a fish dish my wife made with artichokes mushrooms tomatoes and asparugus.

some almonds for a snack and going to get my lindys orange ice in second.

Beer tonight was 2 shock tops.  I needed a good desert today as I am not a big fish person but trying.

I don't think you are doing Atkins .... but for those doing Atkins .... stay away from omelets at IHOP.  They put pancake batter in their eggs to make them fluffy.

Ok yesterday I had...

3 scrambled eggs w/ cheese

Tuna salad, BMT, and meatball sub from Subway.  I scooped out all the meat and cheese and didn't eat the bread. I ate 2 pickles also.

Crab legs and the inside of 3 egg rolls

Snacks was 2 handful of almonds and last night we roasted marshmellows, but I had 2 plain cheese hotdogs.

So how did I do with the Atkins diet yesterday.

OK Today I ate

2 Fried eggs and 5 pieces of Bacon for breakfast

Slim Jim for a snack

A grilled smoked chicken breast

a Low Carb bowl from Ci Ci and a salad

and a bowl of low carb Ice cream

I have been drinking water like crazy since I started walking!

I had a diet A&W rootbeer today!  Yummy!  I also had a diet Sprite with supper!

I think that I about have the low carb thing down.  No Bread, Pot, or sugars.....Right?

After starting a new diet I altered my drive to work to avoid passing my favorite bakery.  I accidentally drove by the bakery this morning, and as I approached, there in the window were a host of goodies. I felt this was no accident, so I prayed ... "Lord, it's up to you, if you want me to have any of those delicious goodies, create a parking place for me directly in front of the bakery." And sure enough, ...

On the eighth time around the block, there it was!

Just be careful and check the carb count on the hot dogs.  I get the Oscar Myer, they are less than 1 gram.  Some have up to 10 carbs.   Also, on the Carb Smart ice cream it is 4 carbs per 1/2 cup ..... be careful.  You can add the carbs up pretty quickly and not even realize.   Other than that it sounds good.  Crab legs are good ... careful with the crab salad - most of it is imitation, and I learned the hard way ... it is LOADED w/carbs.

If you are craving sugar or still hungry, add in more FAT.  Crazy, yep ? But it works.

I have been on a steroid and some heavy narcotics for my back ... those things don't bode well with a low-carb diet.  I will be posting a 1lb gain this week.  I am just glad it isn't more.
