I say we let Romegasir be the first person to try out all the inflatables before you open it to the public. :P

Good luck on the business!:D

Hopefully bouncing around in our inflatables will prevent kids from looking like that...

It's definitely better for them than sitting in front of a video game for hours on end.

I sent you an email and have had no response? So I am making a second attempt here. I located the email address on your flyer that arrived in my daughters agenda from school. I was asking about Kangaroo Jakes and wanted to know If you had a website to view your shop?

Thanks Deaglos!  I don't even have time to open emails during the day right now, so I answer them all in mass at night.

The website's there, but we're still working on it.  It'll be changing daily so check back.

WE'RE OPEN!!! Finally, that is.  It has been a whirlwind these first few days.  There are kinks, but we're working them out like an ol' crik in the neck :)

Come see us.  Ask for me, Gene, at the door and I'll give the special "RomeWired" discount as well as a tour.

My wife, 3-year-old, and 3-month-old, along with another mom, her 3-year-old and 6-month-old will be visiting Kangaroo Jake's in the morning.  I told my wife to ask for Gene to get the RNW discount and tour...

She asks, what are your food offerings like?  I know earlier you mentioned you have Bella Roma's pizza as well as other stuff like hot dogs.  Can you give some more detail on the menu and prices?

The $7 is admission only, then you buy the food ?

We will serve pizza by the slice as well as by the whole pizza.  We just hope that everyone is willing to wait on a fresh pizza to cook if they prefer a whole pizza.

Anything inside would be in addition to the entrance fee.  The entrance fee is lowered to $5 per child during the hours of 10-2.

original message:

We are opening Kangaroo Jake's, an indoor inflatable paradise for kids here in Rome.  We have 20,000 square feet (think of a football field) with 15 ginormous inflatables, 5 party rooms that accomodate up to 50 kids, a comfy parent's lounge with plasma TV's, nice couches/chairs, wi-fi access and public access computers in case you forget your laptop.

We also have concessions and we've tried not to fill it with only junk food.  There will be the usual -  hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, sno kones -  but in addition we have a fresh juice machine, homemade smoothies, green tea and other healthy snack options.  We will brew Starbuck's coffee exclusively with all your favorite flavorings available.  The pizza we serve won't be the typical frozen variety found at most concession areas...we've partnered with Eddie at Bella Roma to provide authentic, hand made Italian pizzas that we will cook on site.

For the kid's safety we're hiring only early childhood education majors from the local colleges.  Our inflatables aren't just slides and bouncing boxes either.  For example, one of the games called Botz places the kids in inflatable suits to wrestle around.  There are also inflatables for 3 and under children that are smaller and allow for easy access for the parents to participate with them.

We've spared no expense and really hope we've filled a need here in Rome.  We hope to see each and every RNW subscriber there.

So, I have been to Kangaroo Jake's 4 flipping times now.  FOUR!!  The kids love it obviously and since no swimming, skating or bike riding, it is an easy out.  Had some questions though.  It says that the price will be discounted between 10-2 to 5 with lunch in mind.  two times now I was told no that was only on tuesday and Thursday.  Which is correct?  Some might think 2 bucks not a big deal but it is when you have 3 or 4 kids with you and have been flipping 4 times.  Also, are the people working there really education majors?  Really?  Maybe one or 2 I have been impressed with but a couple act like kids just get on their nerves and you know what..sometimes they do..thats just fact but dont work where kids are your customers if that is the case.

Finally, a suggestion - Maybe set up hours of operation for the bot thing.  That way the kids dont loiter around it and ask the workers over and over.  We were there 90 minutes today and I finally had to ask the manager if they could have someone open it so we could do it before we left.  She had 2 workers actually tell her no.  I want a job where I get to pick what I do!!!! May have it going 10-10:20 11-1120 and so on.
