All I can say is until they all get together and make something happen like before they will still be the same as they are. No changes will be made untill forced.

I just read a release by Ga. Dept. of Labor:
Floyd County has more people working with a larger population and lower unemployment rate than Bartow and Gordon. What gives?

Just kidding about the BLUE FLU. If there was this country would tear it self apart in a few days. Remember New Orleans after the hurricane.

We knew you were kidding. Interesting story comes to mind. Darrell Gates, former and well respected Chief of Police of Los Angeles was speaking to some group years ago. He pointed out that if there were a 24 hour period in LA where there were NO doctors available, some people would very regrettably die. He then pointed out that if there were a 24 hour period in which NO police were available, there would not be a city left.
You know, he was right
Avg M.D. Salary=300K
Avg cop Salary=25K?

| I don't know a quick way to get local Officers a raise. Any way you look at it the powers that be will commission yet another study to see if they are indeed behind the eight ball, and yet again they will be. I say just vote the politicians out! Everyone of them. If satan himself ran against lets say for the sake of argument G. Fricks Vote for the devil. Just get them out of there Period!!!! By the way I saw your foot bridge. The only thing crossing it was a b***h and 3 pups.

Not so, they give up a pay raise so the forum can have golf carts, so they can build bridges to no where, so they can make an old park more friendly to illegal immigrants.
This is far from a Iraq war issue, but then again some folks blame everything in the world happening on George Bush and the War Machine.

It has been stated on here before and I will reterate the point. Your problem lies within the "fat cat," Kevin Poe. He lied to you, didn't he.
Soon as all of this came down and the commitee was formed, he was the first one to jump on the band wagon.
Force the commission to axe the "fat cat salary" of Kevin Poe, then you will be making the right decisions.
As long as he is in the mix, you can forget any raises. He has got to keep his "pet projects" alive.

No pay raise so Fricks can afford to pay to get his license, tag, and another vacation.

I would enjoy seeing all public safety picketting in front of Rome city hall and Floyd County offices, and keep it up until the paychecks and other benefits are on paper.
Don't count on the FD, they haven't figured out if they have a pay issue yet, or a safety issue, or a Chief issue etc., etc., etc.

| Sorry about that folks, It bothers me when people spout off about something they have no concept about(Like Iraq) if they have only seen it through their TV sets. And it has nothing to do with the local politicians or their lackys abuse of their emergency workers. SEMPER FI MAC!!!!

Sorry I ticked You off, that was not my intention
If You want Me to, I will be like other Americans that wave their Flags and put I Support Our Troops sticker on my car while sending Young Men off to war, then ignore them when they come home wounded, I won't say any more how Our Government is trying to write some of our Military off as collateral damage.
Why are you not as mad at the Iraqi Government for making a mockery out of the United States, as you are at Me?
