We would have been in court but it wouldn't have been for the greeter running me down, more like assault for me knocking her on her butt.

I've had several not so great experiences with them too.
Management has to be concerned we're talking bad about them!

| I was at the WR Wally world this afternoon and the same lady that I talked about earlier was the door gretter as we were leaving. We had 4 cases of drinks and a float that was not in a bag and she did not stop us.

I don't really mind the greeters so much, and when I went thru last night with like 8 huge items that were not in a bag I don't believe the greeter really looked at the receipt so much as pretending to look at the receipt for the Big Brother cameras. I truly hope that when I get to be 90-something that I am not forced to stand at the front of a store putting happy face stickers on three year olds just to be able to get by...
And while we're on the subject of Wal-mart - how bout a little attention by management to the egg section of the store. Last night my youngest picked up a carton of eggs to put in the buggy and it was covered in nasty yolks, had to make the half mile march to the bathroom to cleanup. Not the first time this has happened...it seems sometimes that whoever is stacking the eggs is just throwing them in the cooler w/o really caring if they get broken or not. Talk about germs in the hospital - half of the Wal-mart grocery section has to be crawling with salmonella.

I've found if you ASK if they need to see your receipt they'll say something like "nawww, have a good night". lmao
I hate all that though, cause sometimes it's blocking the way out or in with the crowd there and going through looking for receipts.
My H and I went to return an item to walmart. We told the lady at the door he needed to return the item (it was in a sack) and she mumbled something we didn't understand....so we walked past her and were headed to the service desk and she RUDELY said ,"SIR! I told you wait here and I'll put a sticker on it".
No need for rudeness, don't mumble if you are going to deal with customers.

| I know that when I leave I just hold up my receipt and wave at them and keep going.

| I have never had any problems with greeters, checkers are a different story. I go through the self-checkout most of the time for this very reason. I have never had a greeter be rude with me in any way, but I don't go in there with a chip on my shoulder either. These are older people trying to make a living. I can't believe this whole thread is about how to make these folks job harder for them. Maybe next we should find ways to harrass small children.
