Wont be long before they figure out a way to use those portable speed signs to send a ticket for speeding, thus eliminating the need for more police on the roads. That will bring more money in so all commissioners can do all their little pet peeve projects.
Red Light Camera at Fulton Industrial and Camp Creek Pkwy flashes whenever it wants. Sometimes blinding you when no one at all is in the intersection. Fine pieces of equipement.

I was sitting at the one at Martha berry today going toward state mutual at a red light. When the arrow for people turning left toward the stadium (coming from Berry lanes) changed they were flashing like a d**n runway was all the sudden in the middle of the intersection. 2 different ones were going crazy. It was obvious they had run the arrow though because the other people started coming forward just to stop to let them go. Last car to get flashed..sheriffs car. HAHA..too funny.

Yay ... another camera!
Makes me want to buy a license plate from Mr. Frixit and drive that Shriner's car with two front ends through just so I could see what kind of reaction someone would have thinking they're going to see the back of a car in the photo.
Not to mention that, I wonder when they'll figure out how to hook a camera up to that speed-checking trailer they have parked on the roadsides at times?
Another idea that is really cheap with gas prices such as they are, why not use old patrol cars on the roadsides with mannequins holding an out of service radar/lidar gun? That would slow folks down too. All you'd have to do is move them every day or so, and maybe put a real one out there from time to time.
I'm pretty sure George Orwell would agree that we're about 24 to 28 years behind schedule.
"Legum servi sumus ut liberi esse possimus." - Cicero (translated: We are slaves of the law so that we may be able to be free.)

So we went by the redlight cameras about an hour ago. Everybody was stopped. The camera was flashing away. Flash, flash every few seconds. Nothing in the intersection.
They are either malfunctioned, or not set up for working yet. I'd hate to be there at dark and them go off, because it's bright enough in the day when they flashed!

wow ... Just clicking away? ... Hope those things are digital, otherwise the city is going to have one **** of a film development bill.
With all that flashing though, I bet they could make some of the film development money back by renting them as strobe lights for parties.

Agreed!
A friend called earlier and was telling me the same thing I saw a couple of hrs. ago. She said they would flash like 3 or 4 flashes in a row. Stop...about 5 seconds later do it all over again. No one was in the intersection either.
Has to be a malfunction.

That is just silly and made me giggle. I appreciate that.
