I do wonder ...

When will the government make sure there is a Cadillac in every driveway and a chicken in every pot?

How far away are we from the thought police mentioned in the book 1984?

Where and when will the next Boston Tea Party be held?

Maybe one day we will have someone with a BACKBONE to oversee the system!!!!

WE are lacking people with backbones to stand up to the spinless liberals....

Its evident we are lacking at a national level, because we can't seem to get anyone on the local level to even stand up with a backbone to take care of the commish problem..

So I guess until We as America Grow a Backbone then the problem will continue!!!!!!!

Correct, until the PEOPLE say enough and do something about it, were all screwed.

Stop putting faith in republicans and democrats and get honest, bold, non-conforming people into office.  If that don't work then start with more extreme measures such as insurection, civil disobedience, etc.

I don't know why post like these bother Me .....I guess it's because I know that people making $5.75 an hour have to get Government assistance.

I don't understand people that are blessed always grudge the less fortunate, what is it.... do you want to trade place with them...do you envy them that much?

I didn't read the post as being about those who are less fortunate, down on their luck or earning minimum wage.....................................I read the post as addressing those who feel it is their right to be taken care of, at the expense of others...................................and this is not a "rare" bird..................................there are PLENTY of these people, just in Rome alone.....................................................I could name a few places that you could go see these folks, but some of the places would surprise and probably anger a few of you (and you know how I don't like to anger folks) :D

I'm sure however that anyone who uses the library regularly has to wonder how these folks have all the time in the world to look at books, get online, use the restroom as their personal grooming area and enjoy the climate control.................all the while, 100 yards away, KFC is hiring.................................................

BUT, although I pick on the library, I figure most of those folks probably have some mental disorder and can't help themselves, well at least a few of them do..............................................................................but, there are several places in rome that I can't stand to go because of the "I'm gonna get what's mine" mentality of all the people there................................................................ummmmmmmmmm, the ER, Urgent Care for instance :) God forbid you actually have to go to the health dept to get a birth certificate...................................

in line at any grocery store at the beginning of the month.......................................

That's always a sore spot watching people load up three buggies of food that I'm paying for, while they use their own money to purchase the beer and cigarettes..................................I know, I know, since I'm knocking that then it must mean that I want little children to starve....................................actually, I don't.................but where are the churches and the charitable organizations???? When did charity become mandatory??????????????

I met a girl about 16 years ago who had two children, unmarried, and when I mentioned to her that there was a company hiring, her answer was that as long as she kept having children, she could get money to support them all and food stamps, and she had no intention of working.
A short time later, she was pregnant again and only 18 years old.

Can you give me one good reason why, I, who worked 50 years and raised 4 children without government assistance (and was a widow during part of that time) should want to support someone with my tax money who keeps having children that she doesn't take care of, just to stay in the system?

My Mother did the same thing as You  she had three children and she did it alone.

I'm just saying if she had food stamps ....there would have been somebody in line at the Grocery store saying look at My Tax Dollars at work.

I'm a logical type of fella, and enjoy picking out logical fallacies...............so i'll point out my own.................................it's all anecdotal..................................................not once have I been behind someone in line at the grocery store, who buys bread, milk, bologna, cheese, eggs, beans and whatever meat is on sale, and then pays with food stamps................................................seems every time I go, there is someone in front of me with one buggy of steak and roasts, one buggy of snack foods, and one buggy of beer..........................................and of course, out come the food stamps...................................................................where does that mentality come from???????????????????????????????????

Assuming I had a family, I would rather go on Food Stamps than let them starve, BUT you would never see me using my cash for beer and cigs; while I use your cash for my food................................................

is there a solution? Nope, we're knee deep in it now, and have become a society of those who do for others voluntarily, those who do for others involuntarily and those who get done for.................................................................

Jr.FanAlways wrote: Deadbeats get to be deadbeats by the example of their parents. Look around you. How many people do you know personally that this fits? Generation after generation of a family jumping into this mindset. They know the ins and outs of the system. Ins like "I'm divorced and can't work because I have these 3 children to care for and my husband can only give $xx to help me out." In the meantime pappy is living in the home and making more babies with momma so the checks and food can increase with inflation. Every family I know on assistance can pi$$ away more money at Wal-Mart than any tax-payer that is supporting their "life style". Then you can add the assistance from churches. Year after year the same families are on the lists. No pride! The teenagers in the family produce a few kids and everbody is on easy street. Are there no time limits on all this BS.:X

If you think about it, these people have it made, why should they strive to do better? We pay for them to live, eat, sleep and keep having babies. Then it starts all over again. Heck, if someone were giving you a place to sleep, money for food and local charities giving you stuff, why should you want to work for a living! You would give up all the freebies! Just my thought :)

My opinion is if a female has more than 2 kids at the age of 16, should be sterlized. I, too am tired of supporting everyone. I would like to have a little left over for myself! Just my thought...
