| Could someone explain to me whats wrong with our social security and medicaid/care system???? Tell how someone that never pays into the system gets the benefits!!!!! In my life time I have watched two women work two jobs most of their life and get diagnosed with cancer when they were in their fifties. I have personnely seen doctors notes or letters stating the fact they would never work again. These letters were produced to our fine system only to be told that they wasn't old enough to get medicaid or medicare help. They were informed they must be either 62 yoa or disabled for two years too receive benefits. They were also informed that they would have to wait at least 6 months before a disability check would be issued. excuse me but what the Hell!!!!!!!!These were two productive members of society. Now the issue I have is what kind of system is it that we have, when you pay into something all your life just to be told I sorry we cant help you.....Excuse me again but what the Hell!!!!!!!! Now we have people that has never contributed anything to this system much less be a productive member of society and receive help.....excuse me again but what the Hell......Am I the only person that has a problem with this issue?????This seems to be the country that you are required to pay into and receive nothing, if you work... on the other hand its the country where if your to lazy to work, have numerous kids or cant become a productive member of society pay nothing in and get everything for free.....Excuse me one more time but WHAT THE HELL****************

Have seen this myself.........................What about handicapped stickers, tags???????????? There are more of those than regular tags. These people are far more able bodied than I and I would rather limp/lurch from the outer regions of the parking lot than to have no pride and try to get over on folks for a close parking spot.

I'm with you about the handicapped parking, OP....my dad had a stroke a few years ago, and does not walk well. You should see all the non-handicap folks jumping to get those spots. Drives me crazy. I broke my leg and had to use a temporary when going out by myself. Crutches are no fun from the far end of the parking lot. But as soon as I was in one of those boot things, it was back to parking in a non handicapped spot. And, happily so!

I know a family drawing because the father had a little accident and blew his hands up. Missing a few fingers. How did the accident happen? Cooking something. So now this young man and his 2 children and I think not his young wife are drawing a check every month. How does this happen? When it comes to social programs, nothing makes a lot of sense.

| I know a former state patrolman who is no where near retirement age early 50's who is supposedly disabled ( backache). But yet he goes on hunting trips, rides 4 wheelers, horses and drives for long distance trips. This happens in every occupation, I know that there are many out there that take advantage of situations such as this and it is truly a shame and a disgrace to society, when we have people who can't even qualify and are seriously in need.

| I have also seen similiar situations. The system sucks at best. If you no speaka no engless then you can get it all. Then system should state if you have not paid in then your not entitled to anything. I would have to agree with OP just because your to lazy to walk then you shouldn't get a "special" parking spot. How about someone that drinks themself into a disability, does that not take the cake.

What about all of the folks that ride around in Wal-Mart on the little scooter things for older and handicapped. Most of them are healthier than I am. I've seen them jump off the things to get something off the shelf and never miss a beat.

Hell I would like to see store start enforcing their own rules in the parking lots, ya know the firelane only no parking and the handicap spots. Legally in most areas an officer can not ticket unless called in by a store is the way I think it goes.
But if you ever mention to a store manager that a car is in a handicap spot they look at you real dumb and tell you that is not their problem.
Well it is their lot, call a dang tow truck and have it towed. I bet you will get alot of cheers and might lose one customer but would gain others. After that one, I bet no one else is going to park in those spots again unless legal to.

There's a show on tv that I catch every now and then. Can't even think of the name of it right now (think I have CRS lol ). Anyway, they catch ppl on disability doing things they supposedly can't do. It's hilarious!
This was several years ago, but I knew a cheerleading coach that was on disability. For her back!! She sure did do a good flip teaching the kids.
I was coming out of walmart once and two ladies in front of me were heading to their car. I overheard one say (exact words!!), "Start limping! A cop is near our car in the handicap parking spot". She started limping!!!! I was so shocked I couldn't even get words out to say anything.

| I have a friend that I am sure is getting a disability check because supposedly he hurt his back at work. He was telling me that he likes to work in the yard and do gardening. I planted 3 tomatoe plants the other day and my back was killing me. Wonder if I can get a check started.

If you find out how please let us in on it..... I could use some extra money.......Lets see from what I have been reading to get a check it would require you to speaka no englis...Not contribute a dime to social security, maybe be an alcoholic or drug addict....be willing to lie, cheat or steal and have 10 babies by 10 different dads, because it seems that a hard working honest American cant get a red cent of any of the money they have paid in, so why not create a system that will give it to sorry, low-down, dishonest, no speaka englis, I drank to much now my liver dont work individuals. Oh I forgot we already have that system in place............
