| I got loads of pretty women in my family. that would explain who got the looks. I even have two miss ga's and lindsay wagner as cousins. Dang, how did I miss Jessica Alba LOL

I never qualified as beautiful, my stepdad once told me I was homely. If I go somewhere special, I put on a little makeup (even an old barn looks better with a little paint) and try to hide the homely. I have always had a sense of humor though.

| Thank you Spice. the only thing I was trying to convey is that I like freedom, and it is something I won't give up. wrote that for my kid and just decided to share with my family here. Met a guy in the service many years ago. Looked down at his name tag and it was the same as mine..........not a usual name, he was black, I just stuck my hand out and he took it........what we got to do.

ROP I like this stuff. We thought for years that we had Cherokee blood--come to find out the ancestor we had been told was Cherokee was really a light skinned black woman trying to pass. Her husband was the first ever senator from Kentucky, and he was very pro-slavery. They told every she was "Cherokee" to keep him from sounding like a hypocrite!

| That's sweet of you to say Jess, but sometimes I get mouth in motion and brain out of gear. My mother used to say there might be a black person in our ancestry but with all my genealogy research, I have not found one. Wouldn't bother me if I did, I don't have time to be concerned about who my ancestors married.

| They did not have TV.............whatcha you gonna do. Cherokee in North Georgia , Creek in middle Ga and Alabama. They did not like each other.
