This is the National Field Day for Amateur Radio. This is where Ham radio operators everywhere demonstrate how to use emergency power and communications. The public is invited to the National Guard Armory on Wilshire road from Noon today (Saturday) until noon tomorrow (Sunday). Remember without Ham Operators the folks in Miss. and LA. would have had NO communications after Katrina hit. This is an important part of emergency planning for Rome and Floyd County. Come out and show your support and learn about Ham Radio. Maybe you will become interested in becoming an Amateur Radio Operator.
