Hey JP, my brother is a musician who has toured with Jerry Lee, Leeroy Van Dyke, and Bo Diddly. He had a piano that Jerry Lee tore all to peices. He restored it and it sat in our livingroom for years until he needed money and sold it.
I like Country, Folk, and old fashoned Rock n' Roll. Good Gospel music too.

| I think Hank III takes it a little further than I like to go. I am a fan of good music that tells a story but not music that encourages drug use. You said my brother could probably tell some stories, the Chattanooga Free Press had an article about him a while back and they were talking about the way he tells a story. He has a long Southern Drawal and he can make almost any story funny. We loved telling jokes when we were growing up and all of us still do have an unusual sense of humor. Even our mother who suffers from Alzheimers still tries to tell jokes.

You mentioned David Allan Coe and 1983, I had a friend who worked for an Atlanta radio station about that time and I went to some concerts with her. I have a snapshot of she and David Allan Coe. I wouldn't know where to look for it right now because when I moved, I packed up a lot of stuff for storage but if I ever come across it, I will e-mail a copy.

I like both Hank Sr and Jr. One of my favorite songs, You win again, was written and recorded by Hank Sr.
It was also recorded by: Also recorded by: Roy Acuff; Moe Bandy; Mandy Barnett; Big Boy Pete;
Big Mike & The Booty Papas; Bill Black; Pat Boone; Boz & Friends;
Jethro Burns; Glen Campbell; Johnny Cash; Ray Charles; Jimmy Clanton;
Elvis Costello; Country Cattin'; Floyd Cramer; Vic Damone;
The Ditchdiggers; Fats Domino; Ronnie Dove and Jerry Lee Lewis.
You win again and Last Date by Floyd Cramer were the two songs my brother used to learn to play the piano. He also learned guitar, drums, Sax and harmonica. He never had any luck with a fiddle but I had an uncle who was Southeastern fiddle champion so many times they made him quit playing in contest and start judging. Unfortunatly, the only talent I have is putting mouth in motion and brain out of gear.

I remember Gary Stewart, never met him though. My cousins son was asked to go on tour with the Allman bros. He played the banjo, but she wouldn't let him go because he was too young. He used to win a lot of competitions too but I don't know if he still plays or not. My brothers son is also a musician but he plays a different type of music, nothing country. Since we're throwing out names, I guess I should tell you that my mothers cousin is Willie Nelson. His grandfather and my grandmother were brother and sister. He doesn't know us though, if I ever met him, it was when we had a big family picnic in Austin and there were a bunch of family playing music. I was 11 years old at the time and had a short attention span.
