How is this race going? Did anyone make any promises to certain people if they got elected? Did anyone jockey for a position at the clerks office to maybe gain favors or get a better job at the clerks office if a certain party got elected?
Just quetions for thought!!!!!!!!!!

| Clerk of the Court race. Not much to say here, except any change will be better. Probally will be some upset people in this office when they figure out they will have to speed the pace up. If you have ever been in there you will know what I am talking about. They are some nice folks that work there, just slower than Christmas.

I understand what your saying, but what I would like to know if there is any truth about a female leaving one county office to join the clerks office with the hope of getting a better job within the clerks office if a certain individual wins? If that is true I guess we could call it the good ole girl system!

I was being sarcastic. Politics get me to a new level of disgust. The Fricks arrest and all the BS of trying to make it sound like no big deal. I'm not even living in Georgia anymore, but I try to keep up with the news. Everywhere I turn there is more corruption popping up. It is so disillusioning. Is that even a word? You get my point though.

I get your point the problem is that for so long we as citizens have let the politicians lwork in a grey area. Now its time to call it either Black or White.. We can not operate in a grey area any longer. We need to hold everyone accountable for their actions.... We as voters need to start calling them out on the carpet......Just because someone was born with a silver spoon in their mouth doesn't mean they are above the law.....

| Its very hard to decide of who to vote for. I have heard many things about both. I find it best to talk to people who know them to find out what kind of person these people are. I was at the courthouse the other day and asked around while I was there. This is why the clerk of the court race is such an energy packed race...lol. A person can learn alot. Just Ask Someone To A friendly Lunch, see what that gets ya. Just make sure its ok first. Last edited on Tue Jul 8th, 2008 05:44 am by BEENAROUND

I would LOVE to know what the clerk of court does? Why is it an elected position? Is the person a judge,a lawyer,or any lay person ?
Sorry to be so uninformed but,I really do not know much about this position.
Thanks to anyone for the education.

Both candidates have websites that give a brief description of the position, as well as themselves, endorsements, etc:
