| Back on subject. What do you LEO think of the new entrance to the jail? It will be in operation on July 8, 2008. go through the employee parking lot, across in front of the jail to the new slider. Ya'll will be making a circle around the jail into the sally port, and exiting the same way as you always have. This is something else that OUR SHERIFF has done to make things easier and more secure for officers, inmates and the community. This was in the original plans, but was never initiated until now. I feel that Sheriff Burkhalter has made VAST improvements in and around the jail. As I have stated before, my support goes to SHERIFF BURKHALTER, as long as he holds the position. Moral has increased, community involvement has increased, the publics opinion of the Sheriffs Department has increased, so how can anyone say that they wouldn't support Tim? I know of several ways that he has saved money on operations at the jail, and maintenance of the facility. There are several maintenance issues that are being addressed at this time, ie., doors, sliders, AC units, ect. But there are just so many hours in a day and so many days in a week. If previous admins had addressed these problems, we wouldn't be in the shape we are in, playing "catch-up" on these issues.

FRL88,
How does the entrance change improve security. Just wondering.
I have already asked Tim for a yard sign when he starts putting them out. He is the most approachable Sheriff in a long time.

I have had everyone asking me where to get bumberstickers, magnets, signs, t-shirts I think that it is time to set up Burkhalter Central.
