I have heard alot of good things about Burkhalter over the last year alone, and will vote for him as i think he is really starting to turn the tide in a great way.  He fights for his officers, and is not afraid to state his opinions when they go against the county Reps.

When it comes to experience it is hands down Tim.

Tim has been good for Floyd County.  We needed a sheriff that was in touch with the people and their needs, and he has shined.  He has really turned the jail around!

I agree, how can you argue with the community programs that he has started and the volunteerism that he fosters.....all of which are done with donations!  The State Certification and the quest of the National Accreditation through CALEA.  Setting the Standard for once instead of playing catch up!  Just wanted to make sure I wasn't alone in noticing this!

Well, I have to say I have worked with Tim at the Sheriff's office. I personaly belive Tim is a great leader and a Sheriff. However,Tim's administration could use some improvement. I will not state names. I'm afraid that in the future his administrative team will cause scandal and a bad rep. for Tim in the future. Tim you have got my vote......Keep up the good work and do'nt let us down. You are the only positive change the Sheriff's office has seen in decades.

He has brought the Department into the present day and is planning for the future, why in the world would we want to "go back to the basics" and back into the dark ages???  The members of this department enjoy volunteering their time to the programs and getting a chance to be positive instead of the monotony and enjoy the structure and professionalism that has been established.  They don't want to be Mayberrys PO-dunk Sheriff's office!  Back to the basics?  You can't go back, you talk about creating turnover.  I don't think the taxpayer want that.

Atleast Tim dont lie about how long he has been in law enforcement.  Mr. Hulsey, I have hunted 5 or 6 days a year for the last 20 years, but that does'nt mean that I deserve a hunting show of my very own.

Tim if you read this I did not support you in the last election (didnt really know you).  But you have set an example for your officers that has won me over.

I asked someone if you were going to do the job or just fill the position.  You showed me.

Whats up? has anyone openly stated that they would support Hulsey! and why he states is is a big saver on budgets but I haven't been impressed by any water savings? What could he do with his  Four years of experience? Oh I forgot that he claims he has 20 years experience. I don't know how serving as a reserve one or two days a year add up to twenty. If you give him the benefit of the doubt and say he worked ten days a year as a reserve for 15 years that comes up to 150 days that less than 6 months of experience add that to his 4 years with the sheriff's department that would give him about 4 1/2 years of experience  so where did the 20 years of expierence come from. By the way the four years he was with the department he worried more about setting up basketball tournments for inmates not considering the safety of the deputies. I dont know where he come from but The safety of his officers should have been his first priority.

Sheriff Burkhalter has proved that he it interested in his community from the children all the way to the seniors of this fine community. Can anyone disprove that?

Sheriff Burkhalter has definately turned the department around. After more than 12 years the other people in charge had to tear the department's morale down Burkhalter has turn it completely around in under three years. The deputies are more involved in the community than they ever were.

Hulsey talks about a saving money but in this day and age it takes a little money to reach the kids in this community and start outstanding programs.

If I may TIM you have done an outstanding job

Hulsey if I can give any advice DON'T waste your Money
