Heck I think the response times are great, the firehouse got me my sub hot and fresh in under 5 minutes.  Always makes a great lunch.

But seriously even out on Old Dalton they have a great response time.

Do any of you folks in that area worry about how long the response times would be to your house.I know there is a station off Shorter Ind,Blvd.,but what if they were out on another call when your house is hit by lightning & begins to burn.Or your family member has a heart attack & is not breathing.Brain death occurs within 5-6 minutes,a house fire doubles in size every 4 minutes.

It just seems like a huge area of Floyd County for big, heavy, slow, fire equipment to to get to quickly.

We seem to to shortchanged by fire coverage in many parts of the county.

I'm glad I live in Armuchee... about 2 miles from Station 8:)

You shouldn't worry about the Fire Departments response time, and should be worried about Georgia Powers Response time to cut the power off so the fire department can do their job.
