Uncle Johns 20th anniversary Bathroom Reader page 55

Car Services

To transport its city engineers to on-site inspections, the New York City government leases 107 SUVs, some of them at a cost of $4000/month- the same amount it would cost to rent a luxurious Bentley. An investigationby local news station WCBS discovered that these "Official Use Only" SUVs were rarely put to official use. The news prompted the city comptrollers office to perform an audit, which uncovered even more troubling facts: Many of the city employees who were using the SUVs as personal vehicles had either suspended licenses or DUI convictions...or both. Total annual cost of the cars: $1.4 million

Very Interesting

Is Fricks going to be driving one of the new golf carts? I know with all of the buisness that the forum does there will be a few moments that the carts wont be in use. Since he doesnt have a license he can hop around town in it. Well maybe not , he really hasnt showed his face a whole lot has he.

Im sorry to beat a dead horse, but I refuse to this topic die. As far as I know he still hasnt said he was sorry to the taxpayers and voters of Floyd County, even though I firmly believe it is to late for that.

Well I have thought about it, I have figured out 4 of his votes. (the other county commissioners) , maybe the county manager, and his wife. But who are the others did the mental hospital have a field trip today or what?

There are 3 republicans on the commission other than fricks. They should ask him to resign. If jennings ask they would say its political because he is a democrat.

I stopped and talked to a county employee today and asked him "what he thought of Fricks", I couldnt stop laughing with the reply I got from him. I dont think he is very well liked by the county employees. I know the one I met doesnt like him and offered to tell me how he would have been done if he were in Fricks place. I then asked if Fricks had said he was sorry to the county employees, he laughed and walked off. I guess that answered what I had already knew. The county employee was very nice to talk to , and very polite. he was laughing hard enough to cry. Im sure Fricks knows he has no respect and being laughed at by the everyone.

I wonder how many people there are who would consider themselves at risk if they spoke out against Fricks?
People employed not only in government services but think about those people at his bank. Heck, think about the people who have an account at his bank! Think about the people who have anything at all to do with anything having to do with any of those commissioners.
Think about, not fear exactly, but subtle consequences that might come from his wife, their friends, and on and on...
That can add up to a lot of people. That can end up to be a sizable percentage of adults in a county like this.

That's why there are laws against people like him being in charge of anyone.

That's why he needs to resign.

I need to clarify that last post:

I should have stated "That's why there are laws to protect employees against people like Fricks."
