so i know it's not the most glamorous job in the world and being a past employee of wally world in my younger days, i know ANY job there can be less than desirable.

well my dad and i swung by the west rome wally world tonight so that i could pick up some bottled water.  i get 2, 24 packs of water, check out, and head for the door.  well the greeter is telling the buggy pusher how to do his job and i swear you could hear the old bat tell him how to do his job half way across the store.  not thinking anything about it, i make my way out the door.  i get through the second door and am literally outside the store when the greeter grabs my shoulder and demands to see my receipt......doesn't ask to see my receipt, doesn't say "excuse me sir, but may i see your receipt" but actually grabs my shoulder.  so i turn around and see all 3 of her teeth, hand her my receipt and tell her to keep it, and continue on my way to my wife's car (it get's better mileage than my truck:P)  she then decides to come outside to give me my recipt letting several others with non bagged items walk right on out of the store and my dad just flips telling her if she would have been doing her job instead of telling someone else how to do theirs, she wouldn't have had to chase us down and then let others leave with non-bagged items.  well she just stands there and looks around like "oh hell......WTH do i do now??"

now i know it's their job to check these large, non-bagged items and i know every business gets hit with shoplifting and mgt has to do something to prevent it, but i mean my god....don't grab my friggin shoulder and chase me down in the parking lot b/c you're too busy telling a 16 y/o cart pusher how to do his job instead of doing your own.  friggin old bat.

I know the exact one you, and she drives everyone nuts.

One time I was wating to get out the door, and she was talking away with a friend of hers that was the first in a long line to get out.  I politly waited for a few moments then looked her in the eye and said excuse me I would really enjoy getting home today.

She growled she was busy and would get to me in a second, and proceeded to talk again.  At that point I raised my voice and stated quite loudly *Excuse me I am glad you have found an old friend, but me and the other 20 people in line would love to get out the door now, so please move.*

At that the other gal got all embarresed hurredly walked away and the old bat grabbed my reciept called me rude, and before I could answer 2 other people behind me stated no he is truthful and you are rude.

I smiled and proceeded home.

How embarrassing, I would have died!!!  The East Rome Walmart drives me crazy, having to stand in line to get out the door.

One Friday night recently me and the hubby went to Wally World west to pick up a few things.  There were maybe 3 or 4 cashiers available, the line to check out was rediculous, we literally waited 20 min to check out with only a few items.  So then, after we waited in line to check out for 20 freakin minutes, we had to wait ANOTHER 5 or so minutes to get out the doggone door because the door greeter had a line as long as the checkout line.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

There is an old, and I mean old, lady that works at the E Rome Walmart that takes 4-ever.  She is so old she can't even read the receipt.  So I have to point the item out to her and she still have to wait for her to call the manager over to verify what I was showing her, because she is so old that she can't read the receipt.

I have started making sure all unbagged items are either first or last on the receipt so that she can find it.  This is just ridiculous.  If they are helping someone else I just fly right past and don't even look back.

One time I was at the WR walmart and was leaving and that stupid thing that says something about back away, blah blah went off. Of course ppl have to stare like you are a thief.:?

The lady got all excited like she had caught a thief. LOL She started emptying my sacks. The reason the thing went off is, one of those crazy locks was on a mark down shirt I had bought. The check out person hadn't taken it off.:X

lol Have you ever seen a clothing item at Wally World that is expensive enough to require one of those lock box thingies on? Now that's funny!! It's not like I was at Macy's.

The door greeters have always been nice to me. I must be going at the wrong times.

I can assure you that if you have paid for the items, and have a receipt to prove it............they have no legal authority to keep you in the store for verification..........................surprised they haven't been sued yet (probably have, especially if they're actually touching people to get their attention or detain them)........................

had a "stand in" at the local dump yell at me one time because I was walking towards the dumpster with a cardboard box, that contained trash................intended on dumping the stuff in the box and then putting the box in the cardboard recycler.................................the guy (not the regular one) yells as loud as he can "NO CARDBOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!"........................................so of course, I dump the whole box and tell him I'm not his wife or child.....................................he pretends to write down my tag number as I'm driving away.........................LOL

a family member has this type problem all the time at the dump, but it's in a different part of the county.............................

I've dealt with that old bat at the west rome walmart too... Since I usually get my friday night 12 pack there, and you don't have to have boxed twelve packs bagged, she always gets me :X

I've gotten to the point that I will either bag the thing, go to the other side of the store to exit if she is on my side, or slip out when her back is turned aggravating another customer.

I think I'll try what romegasir said though.. I'd love to watch her run!
