And for everything else there's Walgreens:D

Until one day someone shot at her. She screamed and begged and even threatoned people because she realized that she did not know as much as she thought. Well the warriors around her laughed and laughed because to them seeing her piss and defacate all over herself was worth it all. I laughed so hard that I fell out of my position and had to relocate. The last time I saw her she was crying and babbling that she should not be there. Some people think they have a dog in the fight but to their surprise DON"T.

I've been sitting here watching the county officer's hold a road block on my corner. Guess that will be about 3 people that won't make it to work on time tonight at the ER. They have a couple guys in the back of the car. Don't ya just hate it? :D

I wished we worked 10 hour watches, as opposed to 12.  As you poh-leese types know, the 12 turns into more than that just about every time.  As an old dinosaur, I miss the 8 hour schedule most, especially at my advancing age :)

We have tons of extra work available, and most of it is on the interstate in that constant construction zone.  Take one of the days off and put in 12 or more out there and the money is pretty good.  HOWEVER, if you should show up late for your assigned watch and it can be shown that it's related to the extra work, the extra work is history........certainly as it should be.

And the Floyd Co folks need all the extra work they can get just to cover the insurance rates.

It's funny - people can insult the hell out of security officers allover this page but the second they start saying the first thing about the ER police officers its a whole new story. I bet none of the police officers have posted a blog sticking up for security as a result of all of this.

I know and have worked with most of the law enforcement community in our town and am not putting them down by any means.  Simply saying - again - there's bad in every department so dont be so quick to jump on just the security dept because there's an old guy, uncontrollable events occur, etc.  I am not the one who started saying something about the "REAL COPS" who are helpful - never said they weren't helpful - said they are not perfect just like all the rest of us aren't. That is the only reason I referred to them as the "real cops" - because if you read back someone did prior to my post.  Everyone thinks the ones with the uniform, the badge and the gun as the superior.  Not necessarily the case guys.  You guys don't know those people in security or their background just like they don't know you or your story.  The police officers do this as a second part-time job and so does probably at least half of FMC's employees who work other part-time or full-time jobs!  I wonder what some of these guys' backgrounds/experience/education in security it. May be more than you know. This is the problem with today's society - everyone is too quick to judge and stigmatize what they don't know.

I work part-time at Floyd on the weekends as I am a full-time student during the week.  I heard about all of these blog posts on this site and thought I would see what is being said but never expected this magnitude of a public fight going on.  Floyd.... Well Beyond Expectations.... is that not the image we are all supposed to uphold? And this is the way all of you are doing it? By bashing each other, your superior and the entire organization you work for to the public?  Job well done if all of Rome and Floyd County is seeing that we cannot get along together as an organization -- what a comfortable feeling when choosing a healthcare facility!  What a disgrace!!  I can't believe the amount of posts on here -- on both blogs -- the one regarding the battle in security and police, and the one about Management at Floyd.  I am sure I don't know the half of it since I am only a part-time employee right now but this may aid me in making my decision as to where to seek full-time permanent employment when I graduate next year.  I know every organization has its problems and will have problems but what ever happened to not airing your dirty laundry? I guess things must be a lot more quiet on weekends than they are during the week because all of this hype doesn't seem to go on when I am at work.  I see security officers often and they are always friendly and helpful, other co-workers are helpful and not back stabbing, and my bosses are great. We work as a team.  I see a lot of team work on weekend shifts.  I have never seen security doing anything but being helpful to others and I have never seen any of the other staff being anything but helpful either.  Everyone in housekeeping, the cafeteria, nursing/doctors, and administration has been nothing but nice.  I am sad to know I am working for an organization that is willing to make it a public matter to go on the internet and bash other departments and other people maybe even within their own department.
