In that case, I will be praying for peace in their hearts.

Did anyone notice that RNT is breaking news about Avery today?  It says she had a fall at home and at the nursery.  Anyone else know about this?  The full obit is on here today.  It is all so sad.

Without invading the privacy of this grieving family, I too, would like to know what happened. We have all been subjected to hearsay and from what I am hearing the story sounds strange to me. It's hard to imagine a fall like this could have such a fatal end result. Does anyone have any more information?

I truly feel terrible for this family and cannot imagine what they are going through right now. I know they appreciate all the concern and prayers given out to them by this community! Thanks to everyone!

Well, I am not sure but the way the RNT wrote the brief article rubbed me the wrong way.  It was tasteless and unemotional.  Most of us just cannot imagine going through this and honestly hurt for this family whether we know them or not. I said the same thing about the fall though.  My 4-year-old fell off the bed last week.  She teetered on the edge and boom before I could get to her.  She popped right back up and said Im okay.  It just hard to imagine a changing table.  The ones I have used and had arent really much taller than my bed.  Its just hard to phathom.

Avery and her family have been on our prayer list at church. This is certainly second or third hand information, but from what I understand, when she fell off of the changing table, she hit the corner of a toy box on the way down. This could have happened anywhere to anyone. We all know how wiggly a two year-old can be! The Silver family will need much support and prayers in the coming weeks, especially Monday the 16th, which would have been her 2nd birthday.

Amen!!

I'm not accusing anyone, but I don't want to see this thread turn into a gossip fest.

It's for thoughts for the Silver family. My heart breaks for them. :(

Yeah, let's deal in facts, not speculation here.  It is a delicate thing we are discussing.  I am heartbroken for this family.  Let's not make it worse.

The original post for this thread stated that Avery fell off of a changing table, so I took that to mean that the information I had received was true. I wasn't trying to gossip, rather answer the questions of others in this thread.

While we are praying for the Silvers, nothing can be taken away from their tragedy, we also need to pray for the caregiver...god bless him or her....I know how I would feel if it happened to me...

I knew what you meant.  I think a lot of moms might have been like me and said that could have been my child.  How many of us have had children fall of something or have a bad fall.  Heck, mine broke her arm in 3 spots 2 weeks ago.  Could have been much worse.  What I was referring to earlier was what the Rome News Tribune wrote in the breaking news earlier about Avery.  They stated that Carroll county Sheriff's office was investigating that she had fallen first at home and then again later at a nursery.  I was commenting on that is the first I had heard of it.  I noticed, RNT took their story down.  Maybe they sneak over here and read because it was without emotion.  I think most of us are just trying to phanthom how this could happen and hug our children tighter thinking of their past falls.  its just hard to grasp.  I am not trying to take away from anything and have prayed for them countless times and passed along prayer requests as well.  It is going to be a hard road to travel for sure.

The Pepperell Schools employees received a message last week after it happend from another Pepperell employee.  It did state that Avery fell at daycare and what happened after the incident (travel to hospital and so on).  I know the information came from a friend of the family, but that is all I know.  I did not read the article on RNT, however, for them to print a tasteless story as you say is uncalled for.  The poor Silver family has lost their precious child and grandchild.  Let's continue to pray for this family and lift them up to the LORD.

Dear LORD please wrap Christian love and goodness around this family.  Please send them Christian hearts to hold them and comfort them.

Let's remember the Silver family today. It would've been the 2nd birthday of Avery.

Prayers!:(

I have just prayed for them to have the strength to endure. Thoughtful of you to remind us. I know it is difficult for them.
