I stand up for my family WHEN they DESERVE it. My brother and his wife got into a very heated fight one night, the next morning she came to my house and then to the hospital. Well, when the police were looking for him I told hom exactly where he was. He knows that I do not defend people when they are wrong, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE!!!! When he went to court I was in the courtroom and had a fit when one of the people testifing started lying about what had happened, and I was almost threw out of the court room. I finally talked to his attorney and told him that the witness had lied and ended up testifing that she was lying. The truth was bad enough, it did not need to made ANY worse!
I say all this to say...MEK defend your family when they deserve it! If you start defending your family now you end up defending your kids no matter what they do. I am not sure if you Dad is in jail or home, but I hope he is ok.
redneck, excellent! and although anyone can only do SO MUCH to ensure their children turn out good, you're doing what you can, that's for sure..........................................
most of us know "If I screw up, My family will still love me"..............but not all of us know "If I screw up, my family will defend my stupid actions, attack the police and everyone who participates in whatever occurs because of my stupid actions and will pat me on the back and tell me that I did nothing wrong"................................those types of families are the reason that cops have a job in the first place....................................................................
Stabbing family member = family defends me....................that's not love, that's a recipe for future stabbings (and probably the reason his son is also a career criminal)

It's scary to think what would've happened had the police not shown up.

| Whats BS about a TPO, she had one he violated it. Seems simple, if she wanted to drop it she could have just gone back to the courthouse and withdrawn it. And he should have known to stay away until she cancelled the order, but I think, and someone tell me if Im wrong, if she asked him over wouldnt she be in trouble too.
