Count me in, if I can find a way to sponsor, I will try to. I'll definately be there for the event. I'll probably stay home one of the days to get photos from my front porch :P I can see the baseball park and adjacent field from the porch and think a view full of balloons would look really amazing.

Good luck with everything.

Everyone don't forget the Northwest Ga Festival of Hot Air Balloons.  The carnival/fair rides will kick off on Wednesday, May 14.  Friday evening the Hot Air Balloons are planning to fly at around 6:30 pm.  We will have craft booths and food vendors on hand on Friday as well as the carnival rides.  On Saturday morning the balloons plan to fly at 6:30 am.  We will have a gospel group perform, some pop acoustic artists, a bluegrass group Two Ton Annie, and Buck and Duke will perform starting at 3:30 pm.  The balloons will fly again on Saturday evening at around 6:30 pm.  They will have their final flight on Sunday morning at around 6:30 am.  The carnival will remain open through Sunday evening.

Come out and enjoy the fun.

Do you have any idea what direction the balloons will be flying once they take off?  Will they fly over Armuchee?  They are welcome to land in our yard in Haywood Valley.

The wind and weather will have a lot to do with where they land.  I know they have mentioned landing next to the Wal-Mart in Summerville and they have a location in the Gore area between Summerville and Armuchee.  I will mention this to the pilots as they might be interested.

Alright.  I'll be sure to stop by and say hi.  It will be nice to meet some of the people who post on here face to face.  Look forward to seeing you.:)

I want to come sooo bad.  I have 200 things to do this weekend.  I have a b-day party, a ball game around 11, and then a hamburger event afterwards.  I know it is probably posted somewhere, but help an ole woman remember ... how long do the festivities last on Saturday.

The festivities will last late with the balloons flying some time around 6 pm.  Buck and Duke will perform from 3:30 to about 6 pm and the carnival won't close until about 11 or midnight.

GDF, thanks for telling us about the balloon festival. RNpara and I brought the kids up this afternoon and stayed until dark. They and everyone else loved the colors and the favorite was the Purple people eater. I would post pics but don't know how to shrink them down. thanks again, Fredy
