My family had the chance to try the new Japanese steakhouse last night. Bluefin is behind the Sante Fe steakhouse, next to Firehouse Subs. I have only one thing to say.....Oh my gosh! We all agreed that our meal was the best we had experienced in YEARS! From the delicious lettuce wraps, to the very flavorful ginger salad, to the best miso soup ever...to the absolute BEST sushi I've ever had. They have an authentic sushi chef from Japan there, and my husband, who gags at sushi normally...ate 3 pieces and loved it! The chef and the owner were so nice, they are very enthusiastic about being in Rome. Our main dishes came out...and were just as good, if not better than all of the previous meal. We had Hibachi  filet mignon , and shrimp, and my daughter had Japanese noodles. Our filet mignons were perfection, the shrimp was the best I've ever eaten, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed the meal from start to finish. We felt like we'd made a trip to Atlanta for a special occasion! If you like Japanese, this will be like heaven! They are open for lunch, I think. This place is my new favorite in Rome...it it lunch time yet?  Ha Ha!  And, no...I am in no way associated with the restaurant...just a very satisfied customer!

Is it as expensive as Sumo's - I would like to try it but places like that usually are out of my price range- have to go once a year or every other year.  I have 4 to feed.  Might can afford it without the kids. :D

The hibachi meal that I got was like $16.95. But, there were much more affordable meals on the menu. The super crunch roll that we shared was $7.95. I think prices for lunch may be more economical...I really didn't notice. But, they did have a kid's menu. The soup was $2.95 if you ordered it by itself...and it had silken tofu and it looked like leeks and onions. It was very good, and much heartier  than the usual miso soups I've had. I hope you can try it on a special occasion...it's so yummy!

It is WAY better than RuSans, though
it is more expensive.

we'll have to give it a try then.  I don't mind paying more especially if it's that good and "way better than Rusans".  $16.95 is not that bad- that's what you pay for a meal at any other good restaurants around here.  I was thinking it would be way more expensive than that.

Don't listen to him. He is part owner of this place. Of course he is going to say this. Come on people! Wake up!

I have no clue...they do have traditional Japanese dishes. My daughter liked the traditional noodle dish. I can't remember the name of it now. Sorry...I had a sample menu they gave me, but I can't find it. If I find it, I'll let you know. By the way, is the Yaki thingy good?

Ha Ha! I hope not! I would never eat anything that could look at me before I ate it! I always get "cooked" sushi. Super crunch roll. Rice, shrimp, crunchies all wrapped in a cute little morsel. No eyes....hopefully. LOVE wasabi! Just be careful the first time you try it! It's very spicy hot!
