Hmm, I am thinking I need to get a bowl of this from FRL.

I think the best stew I've ever had around here was from the masonic lodge out on Kingston Hwy .... excellent.

The best Brunswick stew I have found you can only get once a year at the Labor Day BBQ that the St.Mary's KNoghts of Columbus make.

I have a recipe for quick brunswick stew. takes about an hour and a half to make it. tastes wonderful to me, almost like the stew we make in our iron pot over the open fire.

edited due to atrocious spelling problem...I can't spell sometimes!

I think mine takes longer because I grind my own meat, peel and dice the tomatoes, shuck the corn and shell the limas, etc.

I just ate some stew from there tonight and it was excellent!  I drive by there on the way to my mother-in-law's house and I always mean to stop there.  We stopped by there tonight and I got the stew and my husband got a BBQ sandwich.  SOOOO good.  I hate it that I live in Armuchee because it is such a long drive over there. :(

Was their's spicy??? I like mine more spicy than sweet.

Dito!  Old Tymer is wonderful!  I love brunswick stew also, and the one on Rockmart Hwy is pretty good!   Owens BBQ in Armurchee and the one in Adairsville is very good. Spicy good!  But the best BBQ chicken I have had around here is at Jarrards(Backyard BBQ), we ate there a couple weeks ago and it was wonderful, also there Backyard chips are good!...Oh I think we will have to BBQ for supper.

BBQ is mushy ... agreed, and very over priced.  Never had the ribs or stew.

Anyone ever eaten at Wallace BBQ on Bankhead in Austell ?? YUMMY !!

Wallace is one of the best. I used to work near Wallace's ... it was lunch there every Friday! :D
