Has anyone been to Jefferson's on Broad lately? The last time I ate there was 1 year ago! When I first started going there, the food was great! Then something happened, not sure if the resturant changed hands or what. But the food went from great to lousy! I would order the chicken strips, it would be more than I could eat. The last time I was there, I ordered chicken strips, YUK! They were no larger than a large french fry! I refused the food, called the owner the next day and complained about the service, the food and said I would never go back. So as of this day... haven't been. Just wondering if the food and staff have changed. Ya'll have a great day!

yes they have a new owner....................................................and yes they've started ordering different food from the distributor, to save costs.................................................................................a mistake in my opinion too.....................

i remember when they had the best chicken strips in town, now they are the exact same ones they serve at the elementary schools (not a joke or exaggeration)...................................................................................

they once looked like:

Now they look like:

they still do a good business though, I don't think they miss you :D

Last time I went to Jefferson's was about 8 months ago, I also used to go all the time.  After the turn over I noticed food and service drop.  I had not gone in over a year, so when I did go back I was hoping it had got better.

I went to lunch at about 3-4 so it was shift change. I sat at the bar rather then use a full table, and waited about 10 minutes before I was actaully given a chance to order. I was also only one of 2 people in the place at the time.  1 gal took my order apoligized for the wait, and told me she was going off duty and her replacement would be finishing my order. No Problem there.  Her replacement came in the door, put her purse under bar, took out lotion started thickly smearing lotion all over legs. A new customer walked in sat at bar and ordered a beer.   Same gal with lotion on hands still, turns around picks up glass with one finger inside it, sets under tap, fills glass and hands to patron who had not been watching, and quickly wipes little bit of lotion off glass before guy sees.   Then with out washing hands yet walks over to kitchen area grabs my food from window and walks back holding plate with finger on my food.  I at that point said no thanks I do not want lotion on my food, asked for floor manager paid for my soda and left.

Have not been back since.

My thinking is this, if I owned a resturant downtown, I would do everything to make my place the best in town! You'd think they would get the messge if people only come in to drink and not order food! Wonder what their score is?! Yuk..I would agree with you...I would have refused too!

Huh ? Who said it was in Lindale ? I am confused .....

On another note ..... I haven't been since they changed the chicken fingers.  I always got the spicy fingers.  If they look like the second picture, I am not interested. Thanks for the heads up.

LOL. I have sometimes found that dives in the woods, or holes in the wall have better service and food than a restaurant with a more "central" location.

Jefferson's was ok in its early days, but nothing compares to a good hole in the wall.  You can find some good food and often good prices at those places.

Uh huh!! We love the restaurant by the tire place in Lindale. It used to be a Dari King I think. Right by the shopping center where Dragon's store is.

They are so friendly and the home cooking is GOOD.:D

Now that's funny. ponitail calling lindale the woods.  You apparently do not know what constitutes a thriving metropolis.  Rome is a town, not a city. If you bundled all of rome, lindale, shannon, cave spring, and heck I'll even add calhoun and cedartown and all points in between, you still wouldn't be able to put together a decent sized city.

Is this the Twilight Zone?   LOL

Wait a minute, wait just a pea pickin' minute! Cave Spring is a city. They and Rome are the only two cities in Floyd County. We may not have the size, but we do have the heart!
