August 2007 rumors start about Hooters looking for new site.
September they stop paying rent claiming some deal that Ledbetter properties is unaware of (or so they say).
March 2008 almost evicted, but reached deal agreeing to pay all money due.
May Evicted as still never paid a dime, thinkin they are smug and will just open somewhere else without having to pay.
I personally email Hooter's corp to let them know if the 2 thieves have anything to do with a hooter's in Rome, I will never go there.
If they stopped paying in September, that's right about the time the new owners took over. So I take it the previous owners had no trouble paying their rent.
Someone else earlier on this thread said the Hooters people claimed problems with the property owner. Any idea what the nature of those problems were supposed to be?
I've gone back over the RNT's coverage of this for the past several months, and if they've talked to anyone in corporate about any of this, I couldn't tell.
Who are the Hooters owners? An RNT story said one had previously worked at Hooters in Clearwater.
And how does the shutdown of the restaurant affect this:

As to how it effects a party wagon, I for one do not care, send it to a different Hooters.
I don't claim i state what I read in the papers myself.

Problems with property owner would be they wanted the money due.
As to who they are I have no idea outside of cheats and thieves from the looks of it.

| Whatever happened to the guy who used to run Hooters? I think his name was Rick or Rich. The place hasn't been the same since he left.

Rich was great! Back when I did a radio show on Q-102 (many moons ago)... Rich was the manager and he was great.

| I'll keep my eyes open, but after all of the gossip and rumors I've heard today about what led up to this and what's going to happen. The truth is probably going to be a letdown.

Well, I don't know if it will be as, um, colorful, as some of the stuff I've heard. Though I have to say what has been reported so far has been pretty interesting.

LOL. What I have heard is quite colorful, but has not been "reported".

| I doubt that some of the stuff I've heard would ever be reported.
