| The food has always been pretty good but the service has been mediocre to poor. Some of the staff will try to overcharge. Watch your bill at the Olive Garden. I preferred Johnny Carino's but it seemed to go downhill during the last few months it was open.

Yuck never liked Carrino's, and mildly like Olive Garden. I got spoiled years ago on real Italian which is very hard to find around here, but there are a few places around, mainly Atlanta and Chattanooga for it.

I'm not speaking for roman2000, but I can say that I've been to O.G. twice......................................the first time, two people at my table asked if it was okay to substitute an item and was told yes.........when they got the bill, it included the original entree along with an extra charge for the substitute........................we went back several weeks later and the couple asked for the same substitution and made it known to the server that it had been added on the bill as an extra side during the last visit............they were assured it would not happen again..............................but it did.
I personally prefer Provinos lasagna to any dish at OG............OG's meat dishes remind me of a microwave tv dinner...............

it's okay. i don't eat the food there. the salad dressing is good but really unhealthy. all of the food is unhealthy. but as those kind of jobs go, it's pretty good. except for the people who get soup and salad, run you to death and then leave you a $1 because their check is only $7.

I thought italian was supposed to be one of the better dressings for you to eat...Is that not what it is?

yeah.. can't get much healthier than oil and vinegar... not like it's ranch, caesar or thousand island...
I've always had a good experience there, but find it sad that the best calamari in town (IMHO) is at red lobster and not at any of the italian places lol!

eh, my name is hidden. they would have no way of finding out and it's not as if i was slandering the company.
the dressing is all sodium, albeit very delicious. i love to dip breadsticks in it.

they do not use a regular vin and oil.
here is recipe.
Ingredients
1/2 C. Mayonnaise
1/3 C. White Vinegar
1 tsp. Vegetable Oil
2 Tbsp. Corn Syrup
2 Tbsp. Parmesan Cheese
2 Tbsp. Romano Cheese
1/4 tsp. Garlic Salt - or one clove garlic minced
1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
1/2 tsp. Parsley Flakes
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a blender until well mixed.
If this is a little too tangy for your own personal tastes, add a little extra sugar
edited to add you can ask for just plain vin and oil thou.
