Many of us have called and shared with each other, as well as making sure we take care of the precious family. They will have hot meals today and tomorrow at very least. We will be strong, and we will be ready and waiting with open arms when our precious little ones come to us Monday morning! Keep up the prayers, readers.
The ones that want to stir up trouble, don't matter.;)

I'm sure West End is a close family. You have always seemed to me like a very caring teacher. That's all that matters.

Prayers for the school, school families, and the family of this child that was taken too soon.:(

Thank you so much for your offer. I am a mom too, and have hugged my babies a little closer today. Kindergarten (Skyler's little brother is in K) and 3rd grade are taking care if meals today and tomorrow. The rest of us are just holding until Moday to see what the school is planning to do. If you would like to help, just drop by or call on Monday. I'm sure will have something going by then! Just keep praying!!!

Doesnt he have an older brother in 6th?  It is going to effect them all.  My neighbor is in 2nd and has cried all day from knowing him through after school care.  Monday will be a tough day.

Yes, his brother Keith is in 6th, and CJ is in kindergarten. Several 4th grade students have taken it hard as well.  I know we will have extra counselors, but even so, I am not looking forward to seeing my kids so upset.

We adults have, most of us, known death to reach out and touch us or someone we love but it is very difficult for a child to grasp. I don't say understand because none of us understand the loss of life, especially at such a young age. My prayer is that your faith will keep you strong enough to deal with these children who are just now feeling the emptyness that a loved one leaves behind when they go.

I pray for the family because the loss will never leave them and only time can begin to dull the pain.

WRM I am a VERY proud West End mother and at the beginning of the year the school and many parents that we didn't even know really helped my family through an extreme tragedy, our house burned down and we lost everything. So, we are very grateful to everyone there. West End is a close knit family and I know they will be there for this family too!

We would love to contribute to this family so if there is anything we can do to help please let us know. We are so saddened by this news and will  continue to pray that God will comfort Skyler's family and friends during this difficult time. Thank you for keeping us updated.

I agree prayers for the childs family but also for the person/family who hit the child.  This is such a tragic accident on both sides and will be painful for all to deal with.

I am not sure to be honest.  I guess you could call the school office.  They have a lot of things going on and individual classes are doing stuff as well.  Skyler loved the Georgia Bulldogs so tomorrow is Skyler Ashley day at school and everyone is supposed to wear GB stuff.  The whole thing just does not make sense..why why why.

Hello, this is Skyler's cousin, he was with his uncle, Chip and his big brother Keith. The family includes the Ashley's and the Dollar's. Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. He will always be remembered and in our hearts.

-Kendall Dollar, Pepperell High School student.
