The big meth lab bust today happened like almost next door to the police firing range out on Callier Springs Rd. Talk about cajones!!!

And don't you hate it when the police call your phone and ask for the wrong person, then out of the blue, ask, "hey, aren't you Waterhead?" Dang gum shoe detectives!!!! :)

I noticed in one photo that there was a bullet proof vest. Are our criminals now armoring themselves? I hope it was not an officer involved who owned the vest.

Other locations condemn the lab location and tag the deed to the property as having been a hazardous waste site. Does Floyd county do this? I think this is to make the actual owners of rental property more interested in what goes on in their houses.

Also, how about a list of those arrested so we know who not to invite to dinner.

Most of the ones shown are repeat offenders, given a second, third or more chance. I guess the lure of quick money outweighs concern for human life.

I went up there for JD around 2:00PM. The lab had already been removed and the contractors were leavin as I arrived.

Even though I got to about 150 yards of the house and stayed on the driveway, I stayed concious about the volatility of the area.

Even now, my nose is tickling and I've coughed 1-2 times. You just have to wonder what it did to the suspects when they had prolonged exposure in that confined space.

And to think I live right up the road and am around that place every day:(

Also, I've heard that it may be the largest lab found i n the history of the area.

Good Job to Metro, the DEA, ATF, and the others involved!:D

bullet proof vests are legal to own, I think it is a seperate charge to have one during some crimes.

No response from JD, Hayden. I think he is busy printing the tickets and getting your red and white striped tent ready. I hope you don't have any lasting effects from that stuff, it would scare me to be around where it had been.

Hayden, wait till you have to be decontaminated from exposure to unknown chemicals. Went on a call to Inland several years ago, got into black and green liquor, lime and several other chemicals. we were escorted into the decontam room at the ER, someone pulled the handle and at least 500 gallons of ICE WATER immediately fell over my partner and myself. talk about taking your breath!!!!  was winter time Too!!!! I would have been better off with the chemicals! (not really)

Good job, FCDT, DEA and the rest.  I really, really hate meth dealers.  That crap is responsible for endless misery.   I get depressed everytime I hear about a neglected child with some meth head parents.

I dont know if Floyd County does this, but if not they need to start. There can be residual effects if some one else moves into the house. Any where out side that the meth heads dump the waste also can lead to problems. Imagine your young child playing in dirt where some one has dumped that crap out.
