Greetings to all in Rome,

Just was cruising through Rome to Barnes and Noble this evening and seen this strange looking garbage truck. Is this the new style? You know Chattooga County is occasionally behind the times and didn't know if this is one of those new hi-tech garbage disposal units???

Jk. Keep your chin up Rome.

P.S. Jerry, make sure to send me the specs on this beauty. I'm sure it could save us some money. Looks like a good gas saver.

LOL... I don't know this guy but I can tell you that I have seen him around for about as long as I can remember.

I can recall seeing that truck going down the road and thinking... that thing is going to tip over any second! lol

I can take that thing on a safari. Just stand in the back and hang a camera over the top to capture the wildlife.

No, seriously if it is who I think it is.  He works for a independent company and they use that truck to pick up trash in places where the big truck can't go and then transfer it to the big truck.

That's pretty smart. But that truck was really sputtering and moving real slow. I wonder how many miles that thing has on it?

I'm not sure but I'll bet a bunch.  You should have seen the Chevy truck that they had before this one.  This one looks like a Cadillac compared to it.

WOW! Sounds like a company that gets every dime's worth....and I mean every dime.
I cannot poke too much fun. I drive a rust bucket myself.

On our way through, my girlfriend saw the multi-story building on the corner across from Checkers and wanted to know when it will be occupied. Does anyone know when or what business offices will it host?

That is Mr. Tyler.  I think he works for himself.  He picks up in West Rome, but lives in East Rome (I think).

yes that's sam, he always picked the trash up in coosa all the way to the alabama line. Yes he owns the company and he has a large truck that some guys work on but he picks up some of the trash with the little truck if it is out of his route. Very nice guy he always picked up our trash when i was a kid.
