Hayden, just remember this, everything possible was done to save the child's life. sometimes even if everything is done properly, it doesn't always work out. but I can guarantee that nothing was left undone.

I am praying for the folks that worked to save this babies life....and the family that has lost him.  God Bless to all.  Things like this are exactly the reason that I turned down a 911 job.  I just don't know that I could handle it.

Trust me, I know that. Just being around all the emotion gets my nerves torn up, which isn't that hard to do. I just feel sorry for the family and the emergency crews who were out there.

Does anyone know who it is yet?  My kids attend PHS, and I worry about siblings having to deal with something like this.

This is a very tragic loss for all involved. My heart goes out to them. Something like this is something that is very difficult. Last summer I got a call from a friend while I was on vacation that my son's best friend drowned, 4. About 10 days later I got a call form my my best friend that his little boy drowned, 3. Last summer was really bad. And I am still very close to these families and it's hard for me to visit them in their homes and know what happened. I can't imagine what a parent goes through.

May God take them into his arms

Let's also remember the officers and medics who tried to save the child that is a hard one to swallow for them.

Call and check on them if you know them! Or send them a card to the dept.

For the families and all those who tried to save this child, my heart goes out to you. You will be in my prayers for the strength to continue.

Twice this summer, my 3 yr old granddaughter lost her footing in the water. Her father fortunatly is very alert and pulled her up immediatly. She usually wears the arm flotation but he was trying to teach her to swim and had taken them off. It only takes a short time for a child to drown and the heartache remains forever.

Prayers out for the child's family as they come to terms with their loss.  Prayers also out for all the EMS workers, and medical personnel who aided this child.  Even though they are accustomed to handling tragedies, cases involving children are always difficult.
