There have been recently local news articles about the state of the city's finances and how we are presently in the midst of a "Budget Crisis". The city stated that it was more than $600,000 in debt, and feared that it may only worsen. In response to this alledged crisis they immediately insituted several "cost cutting measures".

1. Cutting all city employees pay by appx 2% (Mostly firemen and policemen)

2. Parking half of their patrol cars at and "doubling up officers". This obviously means that there are less cars patroling the streets, less coverage, and drastically increased response times to calls. This all at a time when crime, according to the police dept is through the ceiling. Burglaries are up more than 50%, as are robberies and thefts. Forgery and Identity fraud are up more than 130%!!!! And we're not even into summer yet.

3. Placing milage caps on city employees (i.e, you better not drive more than X amount of miles a day.)

And the list goes on...

WHYYYY?????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
