The way both papers are reporting so far, appear to be self-defense.

I was reading over my post and I realized I didn't bother to add that I was at SILVER CREEK Pharmacy in SILVER CREEK... Not that it matters now... ha

I don't see how it could be self defense when the Barber guy was not even suppose to have a weapon on the property. Barry was a good person he just married the wrong person.:(

Just because he was not to have it give NO one the right to break into his house.

No one will ever know for sure if Barry broke in or if he was let in, one thing we know for sure is he would still be alive if that boy had done what the law says and also not mess with someones wife.:(

The point is he broke the law again by having a gun in the house. Yes it takes two to tango. Maybe he should have realized what he married and let her go, Maybe he loved her and thought he could change her.

I can certainly see your point of view as well.  It appears you knew both men-how do you know the suspect was not suppose to have a gun on his property?  It seems if this was the case, then the police would have done something about it.  The last I heard, no charges have been filed, right?

It just goes to show that you never know what can happen.  If she was doing something wrong, then now she has to live with the result of her bad judgement and actions for the rest of her life.  Many lives will be affected by this.

She gets to live. That is the point. I worked with a woman once that walked in on her husband and the town streetwalker, in her bed, and her own home. She shot both of them, but only the other woman died. The lady I worked with got some very long years in prison for her actions that day. I wonder why divorce wasn't the outcome, instead of killing another? Love can be blind and stupid. Just walk away and live to love blindly and stupidly, another day. After all, a cheat, is a cheat is a cheat. Why waste  good  emotion  on  someone  that  has  to  be  chained  and  hand-cuffed?
