Anyone heard on the scanner about multiple police cars near Melson Road on Hwy 100? Several ppl standing around. No ambulances or fire trucks. All county officers.

We were coming home and were stopped by all the police cars and traffic. Just thought someone might know. I wish I had a scanner. I guess it wasn't too serious because we saw the Cave Spring officer's vehicle parked behind La Cabana at the boxing centre. Ha! Ha!

No. We weren't stopped. There were approximately a dozen people standing by a car on the side of the road. Looked mostly like teenagers and possibly some worried parents. Several cars pulled off into the ditch and into driveways.

Maybe someone ran off the road there, isn't that the sharp curve with melson coming in at an angle? We went to Cartersville today so I haven't been over near 100.

no ambulances or fire trucks on the scene at the time we drove through. Normally when there's an accident, the C.S. firetrucks showup with the rescue vehicle and 20 volunteer firefighters. Just county officers. There were at least 4

I live in Cave Spring and have learned to keep quiet on that subject in case my house catches on fire or I'm being robbed. I wouldn't want a "slow response", if you know what I mean.

I live here too but I have never seen any of the officers asleep on the job. I delt with them on many occations over about 11 years because of my husbands illness and they were always prompt, courteous, etc.

We would stop by the station to have his O2 level checked and they would get the paramedics to come out to the car and check for him. They always came when I had to call for an ambulance and many times helped to carry him out. He was a very large man and it took several people to pick him up on a streacher and to get him up if he had fallen. I can never be anything but grateful to them for their help.

#2 The fire dept. is not the police dept. Your insinuation of getting a slow response; no I dont know what you mean, please explain. I am sure all people here are waiting to here this. I know I am.

As far as the police, most are working 2nd or 3ird jobs so we can have an officer in town in case a real emergency happens. But they spend most of their time answering bs calls for advice or my neighbor calls. But if you need one you will get one.
