First of all, I want to apologize for making it sound like I don't appreciate the CSFD or PD. I really am thankful for all of the hard work that they do, and the volunteer FD is just that, VOLUNTEER.  Meaning, no pay!  My husband used to be a volunteer officer many years ago, so I know what sacrifices are made.

I don't want to sound like I'm coming across cynical, that's not how the comment was meant to be. I'm sorry if it did.

Also found out that the CSPD was at Melson but was not needed so left. Did not find out what the call was about.

I just dont know any other way to take that comment, cause it is one hard to swallow. Something has had to have happened for a statement like that to be stated. I quess my biggest issue with this statement is, it has taken years to gain the trust and the respect of the citizens by showing we are professionals. Someone who reads that statement and has no idea of what we actually represent will question that. The personnel we have are either full time at another department or have been doing it for years and all are state certified with the exception of a couple newer guys.

I do acknowledge your reply.

I thought he had finished that project by now.

There was an article about it in the rnt. He was also doing some filming of the 4th of July parade in Cave Spring. He told us about it when we bought some stuff from his plant nursery that he sold.
