As a matter of fact- My son and I went to Food Lion yesterday to get a couple of items-so I didn't get a buggy or a basket.  My son had a deodorant spray he wanted me to buy and decided he needed to go to the bathroom while I was still shopping- my hands were full, so he stuck it in my purse. I immediately rearranged the items I had in my hands and removed the deodorant spray from my purse-just a little common sense- i don't want to go to jail for theft.  I told my son not to do that ever again.

Stuffing items into a bag is not stealing until you either attempt to leave the store or actually leave the store without paying for them. You didn't get arrested because your son stuck the deodorant in your purse did you? Had you tried to leave the store with it still in your purse, then you could have been arrested for shoplifting.

No, I didn't get arrested but I assure you I had a better chance of it if I had've left the deodorant in my purse.  I think it's theft.  If it were ok to stuff items in your pants, diaper bag, purse-then we could all steal or the stores would have to search everyone because who's going to be honest and say-oh, yeah I was going to pay for that..... it's called concealing-which leads to theft.   My nephew and his girlfriend were in Food Lion several months ago-with his mom (she was shopping) and they intentionally stole hair color- put it in his coat.  Of course-his mom didn't know it.  He was caught with it before walking out of the store.  His mom offered to pay for it-but they wouldn't let her.  It's a crime and they believe in punishing thieves. Yes-he got arrested even though he didn't walk out of the store with it. Most people concealing stuff have intentions of stealing it and not getting caught.  I don't know the laws as you pointed out in your earlier post but I don't have a problem with it because like I said- most stores have buggys and baskets-no need to conceal the stuff.  Not arguing with you-just giving my opinion.  :D

I am not asking you to take my word for it.  Just letting you know that if you are in a store and an employee or someone in risk mang sees you put something in your pocket, they are probably going to press charges fagainst you for shoplifting.

BTW, Sams gave me a free years membership for caughting a shoplifter!

You are absolutely right! Lots of people don't believe it, but when lightening strikes the earth or any object on it, the charge always travels from negative to positive (The ground to the positive charge in the sky)!

You sound very intelligent, next question: How can you pull the throttles wide open on a 737 and have it not move an inch?

What can a woman do far better with her dress pulled up, then a man can with his pants down?

No, you can chock the wheels and open the throttle wide open but the plane will not move an inch! The turbine engines must have motion before their propulsion starts to take effect! That's why you sometimes see the motorized vehicles pulling or pushing planes around an airport.

I stand by my answer.  Here is the explanation from the NOAA website.

The answer is both. Cloud-to-ground lightning comes from the sky down, but the part you see comes from the ground up. A typical cloud-to-ground flash lowers a path of negative electricity (that we cannot see) towards the ground in a series of steps. Objects on the ground generally have a positive charge. Since opposites attract, an upward streamer is sent out from the object about to be struck. When these two paths meet, a return stroke zips back up to the sky. It is the return stroke that produces the visible flash, but it all happens so fast - in about one-millionth of a second - so the human eye doesn't see the actual formation of the stroke.

How can an airliner start from a dead stop then? some one pushing it from behind?

I think the key word in your statement wes "chock".
